These past couple of weeks have been rough around this house. We've all been battling some kind of illness. Alex passed his germs to everyone and we each had some form of what he had. I ended up taking Alex to the urgent care over by us because he just wasn't getting any better. He had a horrible cough that wasn't letting up. Doctor came in, looked in his ears and said he had a double ear infection! I was like well how the heck did I miss that one???
This weekend we were all feeling better so we went out for a family breakfast.
Kayla always gets the piggie pancakes when we go to Bob Evan's. She eats it all so I can't complain.
Back tracking now...Friday I had an ultrasound appointment to make sure all was good with baby. I told Joey to go to work because we needed the money and he had already missed one day that week.(I'll get back to that in a min) So I had my bestie
Adrienne go with me. It's a lot of fun having a friend go with you. We were originally supposed to go alone but I had to take Emma and Alex with me since my mom was sick. They were both well behaved.
Baby is doing good and no issues! So that's a load off of my mind.
So the reason Joey had missed a day of work last week was because I had taken Emma to the ER. She was screaming when I laid her on her back to change her diaper. Last time that had happened, she had an issue with her shunt. So I wanted to make sure all was good with her. After testing was done, we found out she had a UTI. It's been awhile since she had one. So she's on her usual antibiotics for that and doing a lot better now.
So on Saturday morning, my dad calls me. We don't talk too much. It's just the way it's been. He's an alcoholic and all and i talk to him when he calls. That's about it. But he called Saturday to see how I was and ask what the kids wanted for Christmas. He also asked if I had gotten anything yet for the baby and I'm like no I'm waiting until tax time to get everything. So on our way to breakfast I get a call again from him. He asked if we were home. I'm like no were on our way to breakfast and to meet us at Bob Evan's. When we get there, I see the car and there's a huge box in the back. My dad had bought a crib for the baby. I was in complete shock. I wasn't expecting anyone to get us anything since we were getting stuff with tax money.
It's a nice 3 in 1 crib. It can be transformed to a day bed and then to a full size bed. It will save us on money with beds. We just have to get a mattress for it. So one less thing we have to buy which is nice.
Today Emma had therapy. We haven't been in a month since we've all been sick. She did a good job today. I was happy with how good she did. Now we go back in 2 weeks. Hopefully we all stay healthy.
So that's been our crazy week. I hope the next few weeks are less hectic for us!!
